Hashkiveinu
“Hashkiveinu” is a piece scored for Mezzo Soprano and Orchestra and pulls text from Jewish liturgy. Both texts included in the piece, Hashkiveinu and Hineh Ma Tov, are about hope and finding peace through spreading love and community. This piece paints a hopeful prayer for peace while not forgetting the adversity that many communities have had to face. The work ends with a meditative declaration: How good and how pleasant it will be for siblings to dwell together in peace.
